The investment in Avatel & Wikiker Telecom is part of Andorra Telecom’s international strategy. The Spanish company provides Internet services, telephony, television and data storage with a strong presence in the Costa del Sol (Málaga), the Costa Blanca (Alicante) and the Campo de Gibraltar (Cádiz).
Avatel ended the year with a total of 74,000 clients and a fibre optic trunk network of 300 km with a potential audience of 326,000 households.
The Espic contact centre, which provides customer service for companies in Andorra and abroad, is a fully-fledged reality after only three years of operation. 2018 ended with a turnover of 1.54 million euros and a net profit of 187,000 euros.
Andorra Telecom and the Spanish company Medios y Servicios Telemáticos (MST) created Espic in 2016, which is located in Edifici Els Arcs in La Massana. The team is made up of 60 workers who can serve the public in six languages: Catalan, Spanish, French, English, Portuguese and Italian. In this year, the Andorran contact centre provided their services to a total of 20 companies, including the Government of Andorra.
